Discovery of New Materials

Xatoms' AI processes vast amounts of experimental data, predicting the performance of potential photocatalysts based on their molecular structures. This accelerates the identification of new materials optimized for efficiency, durability, and light absorption, addressing challenges traditional methods face due to time constraints.

Quantum Chemistry complements Xatom’s AI by providing a deeper understanding of the electronic and structural properties of these materials. Through using DFT calculations and other quantum mechanical simulations, we can simulate specific modifications to enhance a photocatalyst's efficiency.

So far, we’ve developed 8 novel photocatalysts materials. Once our AI and quantum chemistry models identify top-performing candidates, we bring them to life in our lab. Using wet lab techniques, we synthesize small batches of photocatalysts and run experiments to validate their effectiveness against real contaminants. This hands-on step ensures the materials meet practical performance standards.

We integrate our materials into products like filters, pipes, and mesh systems — enabling clean, safe water in homes, campsites, and entire communities around the world.
